a painting.

I just did this fellow last night. I rarely ever do tattoo images of men , so this was a new endeavour. I used a heavy dose of brown and black with grey. my favorite color combination.
The new studio is so busy I have had no time to paint at all. I have started a new sheet of flash, but inly have the lines down…I plan of painting it as soon as I have a break.
thank you
here are a bunch o’ new pictures. i recently bought a insect collection that came from the buffalo natural history museum. it is very old, probably 1890′s. here is one of the shadow boxes. it is probably the most beautiful pattern i have ever seen. there are others with stars and circles made of moths, butterflies, snakes …etc.
next is a piece of flash i just did, it is a bit different than the usual, but i think still looks very old.
yesterday i finally finished these flowers on William, he has the famed lady on the horse front piece. after finishing the flowers he decided that he wanted a very old looking tattoo, so naturally we did a simple whip shaded to hell lady with a skull who’s eyes double for gross boobs.
so there ya ‘ have it folks. enjoy and as always thank you for looking.

this is on Russ, he has been a good customer and pal for quite sometime now. i did a huge dragon on his other side and a few other tattoos on his legs. he has some very nice tattoos from Eric Lynch and Mike Drexler as well. if you are not familiar with these tattooers you should be, as they are great. we did the outline about 6 months ago and finally did the shading today, a little more to go and then we shall add the color. thanks Russ

A little shiny still, but i think that you can get the point. This tattoo was so fun to do and is on one of the most tuff people i have ever had the pleasure of tattooing, William sits like a champ! Thank you for getting this tattoo. My back hurts pretty bad when i tattoo so i try to only do designs that i am interested in and that i think are worth the back pain…. this is no doubt one of them. Next we have some giant outline that i started on a real gentleman from London. I was very excited that he made the flight here to be tattooed by me …. it is a true complement.

birds …lots of birds ,tattooing a few of them lately ….i am getting ready to go to massachusetts for 2 days in september and i am very excited. i hope the trees will have started to turn .
if you like to read and have ever lived in the country or have ever dreamed about it you should read this book: HILLSIDE HARVEST, by Lansing Christman…. it is wonderful.

here are a few new ones… the snakes are on Max, he sits like a champion , never complains and never moves except to laugh at my poor attempt at jokes. these snake heads took no time at all , we started early on sunday morning and by the time we were done i had the entire rest of the day to go to the park , where i bumped into a bunch of friends i do not get to see enough. the bird is on a Ben form chicago, he has an amazing sleeve from my friend Thomas Hooper ….there was no pressure of course , haha. i really like this bird rose, i feel like it has a very 1930′s carnival feel not to mention it was a pleasure to tattoo. Ben also kindly laughed at my bad jokes ….that was nice of him as well.
